![]() ![]() However, as you gain some wealth you will have to spread it around to gain esteem and help from the townsfolk, who can make your life much easier. Restoring any farm requires planting crops, and that's where the game starts. The mayor has given you three years to restore the farm and gain the esteem of the local citizens. Unfortunately, it has not been well cared for. ![]() In Harvest Moon: Back to Nature, you have just inherited your grandfather's farm. Time to get back to playing Harvest Moon 1.From the days of the PS one, this downloadable game allows you to play the classic original on your PSP handheld system or PS3 home console. For everyone else, you'd be have more fun imagining Harvesting at the Moon than actually playing this game. If your a Harvest Moon series fan, you'd probably already know by now from fellow gamers to stay away from this Harvest Moon disaster. Or you could abandon those chores, but that wouldn't make you a very good farmer, know would it? Since most of the game has to do with chores of farming in the first place.any additional adventuring around has to do AFTER those chores are done. There isn't enough time to do much of anything in one day. What the Flying Cow? Someone obviously didn't notice the timing mechanics in this game. In reference that the game is freakin' slow, you'll notice that after you tend your cows, its almost afternoon. Whaaaa? That's it? My god, someone actually came up with that dialog in the first place? Oh, my god! You even know that the story wasn't serious from the start of the game: You know that the developers weren't serious about this game when you're talking about the story. You move so slow that your cows would have gave birth before you reach the barn!Īmazing how this game ever got released in the first place. Worse still, because of the graphics, everything is very slow. They made a somewhat ugly graphical 3D version of Harvest Moon in the game. The graphics on this game looks like it was released in the 90's not the 21 century. Console games usually tend to focus a bit more on graphics, or so I assume. This version of Harvest Moon however is reason enough to kill off the series: ![]() Hey, what console gamer hasn't heard or played Harvest Moon? I played the first, with it so-so graphics and even that was addictive as hell. Unfortunately, this is an exception to the rule. I try to be objective before I trash a game. New features for the PS2 version include up to four wives to marry, to have a son or a daughter with a mini career path, new farming equipment such as the fertilizer machine, and a free play mode to continue playing when all the chapters have been completed. The player can also explore the valley and meet its inhabitants. Tasks include raising cattle and taking care of them, fishing, cooking, sowing seeds, and trading your goods with the local merchants. The game is divided in different chapters that end when certain requirements are met. When the player's character arrives in the Forget-Me-Not-Valley, he is given a tour on his new farm and starts with some seeds and a single cow. ![]() The game simulates the everyday chores of farm life. It is almost identical to the original GameCube version, but carries some new features, granting it the Special Edition title, as there is no regular release for this platform.
